TAMPA, FL – The National Pavement Expo and Conference welcomed paving and pavement maintenance professionals to the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida on January 23-25, for three days of networking, education, and an Expo Hall that ignited innovation within the industry. Each year, the National Pavement Expo and Conference unites vendors and contractors who specialize in asphalt and concrete paving, sealcoating, striping, sweeping, pavement repair, and related services. This year’s show aimed to equip business owners and the members of their team with the resources, tools, and connections to manage and excel in their evolving working environment.

Before the opening of the Expo Hall, NPE attendees kicked off their time participating in the newly revamped 2024 Conference program. Conference participants were eager to engage with speakers and their peers during sessions that encompassed timely topics like workforce development and employee management, leadership, technical skills and best practices, sales and marketing, and much, much more! The full Conference agenda delivered brand-new content in over 50 sessions, including a Keynote presentation, Work Zone Stage sessions, panel discussions, and more, as well as a diverse lineup of influential speakers, experts and thought leaders, allowing attendees to connect with the best in the field. NPE 2024 also debuted the newest learning track focused on technology.

The Expo Hall opened its doors on Wednesday morning as attendees made their way from booth to booth to explore new products and services. Exhibitors like Newman Tractor, partnering with SANY America, the Godwin Group, Odra Road Sweepers, and more, put their equipment on display allowing attendees to get a hands-on, up-close look at these machines and how they can best be used in their paving and pavement maintenance projects.

One of the new activities taking place in the Expo Hall was NPE’s first ever Striping Contest, sponsored by Graco and Pavement Stencil, LLC. Participants showcased their skills in a highly competitive contest with over 45 contestants. 1st place winner was Jason Gomez from Ontario Parking Lot Services and 2nd place winner was Nick Lucas from TNT Asphalt Solutions.

As the Expo Hall closed for the day, attendees and exhibitors made their way right outside the Convention Center to the Tampa Riverwalk for a fun and memorable afternoon at the NPE Party, themed around Tampa’s famous Gasparilla Pirate Festival. Eventgoers enjoyed food, beverages, live music, and the very popular 360-photo booth where attendees posed with their favorite pirate props.
